In plain terms
An affiliate link is a normal product link with tracking attached. If you click it and decide to buy, the retailer may pay me a commission for sending you there. The price you pay stays the same whether you use that link or go to the retailer directly.
How this does — and doesn’t — shape the site
I run TheTechHype as a Windows and PC troubleshooting site for everyday users, covering things like Windows 11 and 10 errors, BSOD and stop codes, updates, drivers, slow PC fixes, settings, File Explorer, the taskbar, the Start menu, security, and step-by-step how-tos.
When I mention a product, tool, or retailer, I aim to base that on practical fit for the problem, product specs, and common issues people run into — not on which link might pay more. Products are not paid placements, and an affiliate link does not buy a recommendation here.
If something is a poor fit, I try to say so clearly. Not every problem needs a product, and many fixes on this site do not involve buying anything at all.
